Field diagrams - Year 11 General Mathematics

Today all of the year 11 general mathematics classes joined together to learn about field diagrams.

Field diagrams are used to measure the area of odd shaped spaces, most usually paddocks or fields.  The area of a space is calculated by dividing a shape into a series of triangles and trapeziums and then adding all of the individual areas together to find the total area of the space.

Photos are below of the students in action!
